Need to write a partnership outreach email? Here are 3 simple steps to get started:
1. Gather the information you need to know.
Before you write anything, you need to know who or what you're writing about. The more specific you are, the more personalized you can make your content.
Here's our suggestions for writing a partnership outreach email:
Your name: [your name]
Your company's name: [name of your company]
Other person's name: [name of other person]
Other company's name: [name of other company]
Value that your company can provide to the other person/company: [e.g. access to a new market, access to new technology, etc.]
Value that the other person/company can provide to your company: [e.g. access to a new market, access to new technology, etc.]
2. Determine the structure of your output.
The structure of your content is just as important as the content itself. The structure of your content is how you're going to arrange the information in the content to make it easier for the readers to read and understand.
Introduce yourself and your company
Explain why you're reaching out to this specific person/company
Describe the value that your company can provide to the other person/company
Describe the value that the other person/company can provide to your company
Provide a way for them to get in touch with you if they're interested in learning more
3. Write the content or use Copy.ai to help you get started. Once you have your structure down, you can start writing the content.
Example:
Hi [name of other person],
My name is [your name], and I'm the founder and CEO of [name of your company]. I'm reaching out to you because I think we could be mutually beneficial partners.
Our company specializes in [what your company does], which we believe is a valuable service for [what your target demographic is], and I've noticed that your company provides [what the other person's company does].
What I'm interested in is exploring how we might be able to work together to provide even better service to our respective customers. Would you be interested in learning more about how we could work together?
If so, please let me know and we can set up a time to talk.
Example:
Hi [name],
My name is [your name], and I'm reaching out on behalf of [your company name]. I saw that you work with [other person's name] at [other company name]. I know they're having some trouble with [their current problem].
I just wanted to introduce myself, because I think [your company name] can help. We're a [type of company], and we're working on a [type of product/service]. We've noticed that [other company name] has been having trouble with [their current problem].
I know your team is doing everything they can to solve the problem, but I think what you're doing is actually hurting them by keeping them from finding out about our product/service. I'm sure you're focused on helping the customer and making sure they're happy, but you need to take a step back and consider how your product/service might be hindering their progress.
The thing is, if you work with us, we can help you solve that problem. We're working on a new technology that will change how people think about [the problem]. We're confident that once you see it in action, you'll be blown away by how much easier it makes things for everyone involved.
I'd love to meet up sometime soon so that we can talk about this more
Example:
Hi [name],
I'm [your name], the CEO of [your company name].
I'm reaching out because I think we have a lot to offer each other. This is the first time I've been able to talk about this, and I hope that you'll hear me out.
[Your company name] is a [type of company]. We've been in business for [number of years] and we have [number of customers].
We're looking for a new partner—someone who can help us get into the market that you currently occupy. What we're offering is a way to get into a new market, access to some new technology, and a whole lot of enthusiasm.
What we're hoping you can offer us is access to your existing customer base, who will be able to help us get started in a new market. We're also hoping that you can introduce us to some people who can help us navigate the waters of this new market.
If this sounds like something that could work out for both of us, please let me know how I can get in touch with you.
1. Email is a great way to reach out to potential partners and build relationships. It is quick, easy, and relatively inexpensive to send out emails to a large number of people.
2. Email allows you to personalize your message and really connect with the people you are reaching out to. When you take the time to write a personal message, it shows that you care about the relationship and are interested in building something long-term.
3. Email is also a great way to keep in touch with potential partners and keep them updated on what you are doing. By sending regular updates, you can keep the relationship alive and growing, even if you are not able to meet in person as often as you would like.
